Spree Sports Monitor Review

Spree Sports Monitor Review

Unlike other fitness monitors, Spree Sports is worn around the head and uses biosensors to accurately measure body temperature, heart rate and movement. The wireless sensor transmits real time data to the app via Bluetooth Smart technology, making tracking your workout goals easier than ever.

What is the biggest sport?

The device is small, sturdy and comfortable to wear. It measures 3.7 cm long by 1.8 cm wide and 1.1 cm deep. It’s surrounded by a rubber coating and features a micro USB charging port.

It has a status light that’s illuminated when it is connected to the phone and will flash when it is fully charged. It pairs only after you start your workout and does not show up in the phone’s Bluetooth settings, which is designed to save battery on both the device and the phone.

Body Temperature Tracking is a Key Differentiator

The Spree is one of the few fitness devices that can measure body temperature for more accurate calorie burn calculations and to detect when your body is too hot or cold during a workout. It’s represented on a color coded dashboard in the Spree app and goes from blue to yellow when you are in an ideal body temperature range and red when you are overheating.

The main downside to the Spree is that it’s not as compatible with Android devices as it should be. It’s only able to sync with Samsung devices through the Runkeeper app and has limited support for other Android phones.
